Kidz Harbor is also a residential therapeutic group home with a bed capacity of 32. They provide basic and moderate care of at risk children ages 6-18. The Kidz Harbor staff cares for these young people with a team of qualified caseworkers, counselors, doctors, educators and other professionals. This care is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Kidz Harbor is committed to the healthy social, moral, and physical development of its residents. Standards of mutual respect and cooperation are demonstrated and reinforced by staff members throughout the daily activities of our residents. We build self-esteem through success in academics, physical fitness, and the development of independent living skills. Our young people participate in the PALS program-Preparation for Adult Living Services.
The educational goals of Kidz Harbor is to assist the students in maintaining an appropriate track in school. Several of the residents have graduated high school and matriculated into college.
Our ultimate goal is to help our residents resolve the emotional traumas of youth and develop the skills and character for a healthy and productive adult life.
